FINALLY, I got a new update for CC!!
After a brief respite, we’re movin’ along with Chapter 14 now. It’s proving a little more difficult to get through than the last chapter. This is mostly filled with new scenes, so trying to nail down the pacing and make sure all the scenes I want are placed in the right order, with the right relevancy, made it frustrating at first. For me, writing without a clear idea of what I want makes me super irritated and lost. But!!! once I reminded myself of my mantra for this revision round, “That sounds like my future editor’s problem”, I remembered that it’s more important right now to get the words on the page in a way that I don’t hate. And lo and behold, as soon as I stopped hyperfixating on the issues, suddenly the writing went smoothly. Amazing how that works out, isn’t it? Somebody hide the dumb bitch juice while I’m writing please lmao.
Anyway, my word count total of original writing came to 822 words. Not the most I’ve done, but still over the 500 goal! I’ll take it. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to the scene I wanted to share, but I’m writing it now! I’ll post it as soon as I’m done. It’s a brand new scene of Ariana and Damali, an action scene with them practicing their powers together. It’s super fun and high energy, so look forward to it! ^_^
